Virtual Commonwealth Regional Conference of Anti-Corruption Agencies in Africa – 21st to 24th June 2021

Introduction

The Commonwealth Secretariat is organizing a Virtual Commonwealth Regional Meeting of AntiCorruption Agencies in Africa from 21 – 24 June 2021. The theme for the conference is “Assessing Asset Recovery Efforts and Return in Africa.” The conference will provide an opportunity for Heads of AntiCorruption Agencies from across Commonwealth Africa to share experience and benchmark AntiCorruption efforts of member countries towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 16.

Background and Purpose

The Commonwealth Regional Conference for Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies acts as a focal point for the Anti-Corruption Agencies, providing a forum for Heads of Anti-Corruption Agencies to share country anti-corruption reports and transferable experiences and solutions. There will be expert presentations from International organisations and non-state actors.

The Conference objectives will be achieved through a combination of country presentations, expert

presentations, and networking during and out of sessions:

The conference will be held from 9:00am to 1:00pm (BST) daily on Monday 21st June 2021 – Thursday 24th June 2021.
